My responsibilities included: 

 

  • ​​Utilising the game’s bespoke Create tools to make 27+ levels of all types including narrative-driven campaigns, quickplay multiplayer levels, the vertical slice and first Slay of the Day levels.

  • Leadership responsibilities such as interviewing for the level design team, acting as point of contact for new team members and mentoring the design team. 

  • Training the level design team in technical skills, increasing their independence and bug-fixing capacity.

  • Leading the creation of the project's first five narrative single-player levels. Facilitated collaboration with Narrative and Art teams and defining a new level design workflow

  • Establishing the game’s metrics and difficulty with Gameplay and Directors

  • Creating iconic game objects, like the Heart Jars and Glory Collectibles, from concept, prototype and production.

  • Being the studio's go-to level design contact for collaboration, ideas and expertise.

Some of my favourite moments:

  • Participating in a 3-day press event in London and play testing the game with over 20 journalists 

  • Creating the level Punishing Pageant featured on Mr Beast's gaming channel where it received over 5 million views

  • Collaborating in the creation of the Create feature - the in-game level editor we used to make all King of Meat levels and is available as part of the game. It's a tool that makes level design an absolute joy and I believe will be huge to the level design community
